Groundwork

Dig out, cart away the spoil, set the falls for drainage. A sub-base of MOT Type 1, laid and compacted in layers until it stops moving.

Laying

Sharp sand or bedding mortar, screeded flat. Slabs set one at a time, checked on the level, joints held to a consistent line across the whole run.
